Other than that, I shoot spikes and does. I refuse to hunt east Texas because of the stupid doe rule. Thanksgiving to Sunday. They should make it one doe all seasons combined without that four day rule.

Other than that I go duck hunting or turkey hunting

Make sure your goin to a 2 buck county instead of just another one buck county

I could be wrong, but I don't think that matters anymore.

take the kids, if you got 'em. And always pack a camera or video. Was just watching videos last night of a hunt two years ago and realize just how much the drought has really effected the size of the deer this year.

Keep Hunting....you don't have to squeeze the trigger or let an arrow fly to have a successful, enjoyable hunt. Take your family if you can and let them take the culls and does, might give someone else the passion for hunting.

Get out there and scout for your fellow hunters or try to find an up-and-comer for next season. You can do lots of hunting without pulling the trigger on a buck.

Nothing changes for me. Still going to camp as often as possible(hopefully every week) but I am now basically a scout/guide for everyone else. Oh did I mention in most years that also means a chainsaw will be wearing my name tag on it to keep the firewood pile topped off. This year, not too much wood burning going on so Ive got it a little easier than others have had in years past. We have a name for this but with this being a "G" rated board I wont mention it. Of course should a MONSTER step out, he will be adorning the living room also.
