do a search on randy watson the chair. I have seen it in one of his hunting videos and it is a great set up. I think it will take you to a forum he hosts. Thats why i'm not pasting a link. I'm not sure what the rules are about that. You should be able to scroll down and see the chair..

yeah i have seen his before but i didnt really like it for two people hunting out of. i need to post pics of ours now but i dont know if i have any. but it a flat platform that is about a foot above the bed rails with a swivel chair and rest in the middle for me to sit and have a shooting rest and my brother in law just walks to whichever side out of the way. we like that but i just wanted to get some more ideas of getting them higher in the air. maybe some little mods people have done through trial and error. thanks

I like it cause you know for sure who the shooter is, and he can get the light where he needs it. Anytime we go calling, we take what seems to be 30 guns. Everybody wants to be the shooter, but nobody wants to work the light or do the calling.

Our last rack was a side by side (two swivel chairs), that was right behind the cab. It was about three feet deep (so from cab about to just in front of the wheel wells). The floor of it was about level with the top of the cab, and the top rail was at a height that you could sit in the chairs and rest the rifle without bending down or raising up. We put the platform above the height of the cab so we could shoot in front of the truck without fear of shooting into the cab of the truck. We entered it from a small gap in the back rail. I don't have any pictures so hope you can picture it in your head.

I'll try to discribe this the best I can. I never liked the side by side seats so the last one I built the seats are in-line, I guess you would call it. One near the cab one near the tail gate. I put a small box between them that would hold a few things if needed but mostly for the light man to stand on and get him above the shooters. With him in the middle neither shooter can turn all the way around to face the other so one shooter gets from the light foward and the other from the light back. Dont know if that makes sense but it worked for us.

He has built racks for our folks at the Predator Posse and is located in Irving.

Here is a phnoe number for Jim in Austin: 512-799-0785
He has also done work for our bunch.

Both will custom design a rack for you.

Thanks for the input guys but we r going to build it ourselves since we have all the tools and metal on hand from other jobs. Out predator relationship is good because we both know where we stand. Scott is a better caller and I am a better shooter so we keep it at that all times although I do offer to switch but he always says he has as much joy calling them in as he does shooting.... I don't know if its that or my calling is just that bad haha so we only have 2 rifles on the truck, one we use and the other is inside the truck just incase something happens to the main gun.

We wanted guys to post pics of their racks so we could see what some people
like and don't like about theirs to where we could maybe avoid something before it occured. I'm sry if some of my grammar is terrible in this because I am typing on a phone lol.

You want High,, I have High. My butt is 14' up from the ground in my 3/4 ton. I saw one rig that was similar with a car bench seat for two.
