From what I've learned on here, head shots aren't the best choice After reading your posts I am not so sure you've learned anything other than trying to justify a very questionable shot on a buck. With the right equipment and skill level, head shots do have their place.

Sniper- there is a lot of difference in the anatomy and size of a hog head neck area and a deer. If you will go to the Texasboarhunters site there is a great cut away on a hog. Also with a scoped .270 and a steady rest and a standing broadside shot he can put 3 shots in a quarter or less, due to practice, but that said I would never recommend an head shot on a deer.
