Yall need to check out the "deer camp recipes" thread that was here a while back. That Carne Guisada recipe is really great. I've cooked it twice now and will likely cook it many more times. I froze some of it from my last batch and I'm taking that to the lease this weekend too. It never lasts very long. I made some venison stew earlier this week and froze half of it. Taking that as well. Like I said, we might not see or kill anything but we won't go hungry.
