One of the great things about hunting is deer camp. How about having some pics of some of our best deer camps...had one years ago that the cabins were actually old school buses...pretty funny. Then one in Llano called the Llano Hilton. How about some pics of deer camps along with the deer after opening weekend? Much of the memory is where we were and who we were with. Just an idea. We drove by the Llano Hilton for about 15 years getting to our old place. Isn't the Llano Hilton located off Fm 2323? If so, I know the place. I hunted down that way for a few years (about 15 miles further down the rd), my brother and his FIL still do and they've been there about 10 yrs now.

These pics are getting great. Looking at some of these...any chance I could move my family to your hunting camp during the off season. Glad y'all liked the cousin joke. Keep those pics coming. Let's all try to post more pics, especially with our harvests after opening weekend.

Yep. The Llano Hilton is located on FM2323. We also hunted down the road from there for a few years..near House Mountain. Great place. One of the prettiest places to hunt I have ever been. It was a super Hill Country Experience.

I used to hunt a place on the CR that ran from Loyal Valley over to House Mnt. Loved that place until the sorry landowner leased out from under us with no notice.

Wow. We were hunting neighbors. We had the 800 acres just north of House Mountain...has a smaller mountain called Sandy Mountain. It was one of the most fun places I've ever hunted. The owner was a friend and he lost the place cuz he drank too much and his business went bankrupt due to his addiction. sad. We were there for about 15 years. Then went to South Texas on 800 acres that was amazing but now have settled in on East Texas and a small place I bought. We've gotten the quality up in the past few years and it is only two hours from the house....but I still have flashbacks of that wonderful place in the Hill Country. Hard to beat that environment for fun.

Before she found me I thought I was in high cotton hunting out of a 10x18 Morgan building on timber land in East TX. That was a step up from the Orange Port Neches (or was it Groves) bus that was at the old hunting club.

Hard to beat that environment for fun. Our lease was 500 or so acres SW of House Mtn. Our fence line went right up to it. We hunted there for about 15 years and my cousin and some other people still do, we just were ready for a move so went to Coleman.

The Llano Hilton? I spent quite a few nights in the Llano Hilton with the Purdue Family. Killed my first deer on that property as a youngster. Owe that family a ton for introducing me to the outdoors. Thanks TP! What years were you there? This would have been mid 80's to mid 90's. Good times!
