ok the juicy details. I climbed up into the stand around 530. of course I forget my jacket on the first morning there's frost. so none the less I was freezing and miserable, thinking I'm not gonna see crap with the whole tree shaking from me. but as the sun came up I warmed up a bit and watched a single doe come in around 845. about every 15 yards walked she would squat down for a pee break which I thought was odd....until I hear this loud crashing noise barreling through the woods. he was was on her arse like flies on crap. I knew my shot opportunity would be quick so I went ahead and drawled back and waited for him to run in my lane. I did a quick mouth grunt to stop him in his tracks and before he looked at me the arrow was in flight. it was such an amazing experience to see him jump so high, kicking them back legs out. I carefully watched him till outa sight and listened for him to kill over. the most intense part was the wait for him. knowing I 100% heard him crash around I still gave him a hour. so 5 cigarettes and the longest hour of my life I climbed out to see his white belly 45 yards away. success was mine today. about the stick holding his head up, there was alot of frustration and around 4 sticks. it finally stayed up enough for a picture  my little guy was pleased with the days bring home, and wife thrilled all my tags are filled... for this county  8pt with 14 1/2" spread
