I have a nice deer coming to my feeder, With youth weekend coming up, I was looking at letting my boy take this deer, Not sure if it meets the 13inch AR rule it is close, but I need a second opinion

That looks very close maybe to close to chance it x2 Yes, that is a nice deer but I wouldn't chance it. To close to let your son take and learn about AR's the hard way.

Im usually the one that goes the illegal route on these close calls posts... but for some reason if I had to put my money on it I bet he makes it by a half inch.

Last year i woulda said no. But my brother killed one at the end of last season that was exactly 13" wide. This one is definitely wider. Having seen my brothers buck, i would not hesitate to shoot this one. I give him about 14"

While I agree it is close, I personally think (based on this photo alone) that is at least 13"
As always, I recommend consulting the 2011-2012 Field Guide and in it you will find a nice set of drawings to influence your decision.
I don't gamble, either. But I would go ahead and take 'em if you want it for your son. Me, I would let it walk for myself.

I have one just like him on our lease and were letting him walk. 2.5-3.5 years old he will be better next year. Good luck on your decision.
