Who's putting the bow up and picking up a rifle? I've yet to get a shot off with my bow and plan on bow hunting till i get my 1st kill

Not me!! Rifle is retired!!! But I retired the rifle a couple of years ago and switched to blackpowder/ML, then I got bored with that and switched to pistol, but then I bought my first bow, although I have had a black cloud following me for the last couple of years and still haven't really gotten my first kill yet other than a hog at 5 yards(doesn' count), I have no desire to hunt with anything other than a bow, well.........except might like to try a spear one time!!

Not me I helped a friend out last year because he had to get rid of 30 deer on MLD permmits. I used a rifle (first time in 40 years of deer hunting) and killed three deer in less than an hour. That to me is not hunting. I'll stick with my stick and string.

No deer down by rifle season, man still has to eat by what ever legal means necessay.

Ya my girlfriend can fill the freezer wither her tags... i have not taken a shot yet but i have had deer come close enough and the rush was awesome... i can't wait to here that arrow smack one, deer or pig

My neighbor was telling me once rifle season starts you cannot hunt with a bow. I told him he was nuts. Or am I nuts? I thought you could bow hunt all season?

Probably only bow for me, actually I haven't shot a deer with a rifle since fall '08.

Bow only. I've been pretty fortunate. I've killed 2 does already and shot 2 pigs within 5 minutes of each other last Tuesday morning, so I'm good on meat. Now I'm just going to be patient and wait for one of the 2 bucks I'm after to stroll in. Anybody hunting Thursday? Looks like it's going to cool off and possibly rain.

Some countys limits change though. Once General season starts you will be under those rules and regs...even if you use a bow...check and make sure nothin changes in your county
