Last year or year before they had to shoot 2 lions that where in Collin County. Might be a third one that no one saw before.

Big cat, they are around and have been seen in the outlining parts of city limits. Als, cats do eat innerds for the quick fat for winter months.
If I'm not hunting something I must be dead.

That sounds crazy! Try getting some scrap meat or something, set your game cam on it over night and see if you get something!

I don't even know where Collin county is but not around here. The State Park is only about a mile and a half away and they have signs up all over that say to watch for Mountain Lions and the people that work there say they have seen them. I always ask them how many they have seen today when I go out there just to mess with them and they always say so and so saw one last week or whatever. Maybe I am going to eat a little crow for messing with them. They are around the state park for sure.As far as the crow,I've spit feathers plenty of times.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.

Set up the camera and bait it with some spoiled meat that you can buy at any Walmart.

i am guessing the dxt is working out for ya?
we had a lease in brazos for many years and the land owner swore on several different times they had seen a mountain lion on that ranch

I love the DXT. I missed a hog with it a couple weeks ago. Got too excited before I shot because I was at full draw for a good 5 minutes and forgot to aim low because I was elevated. And yes I hear people swear all the time they have seen one but no one ever has a picture or any proof so who knows. I believe they are around but I have never seen one.

Don't rule out bobcat and coyote. I have seen plenty of coyotes take down a week old or calf and they are bigger than that whitetail you have pictured.

I shot a doe sunday @ 7:16 pm. Heard here hollaring and thrashing around as soon as she got to the brush line. Waited until 7:46 pm and got out of the stand to go get her. Found the doe @ 7:54 pm. Her throat was chewed up, One hind quarter was completly gone the other was mostly gone and the stomach looked just like yours in the pic. So..... in 38 minutes, less than 100 yds from me in my stand, SOMETHING finished killing the doe and ate most of her. After that sunday Ive went from seeing 8-15 doe and a group of hogs everytime the feeder went of, to not seeing anything at all.

I bet that makes walking to and from your stand in the dark not as much fun. No guns during bow season be darned I would have my shotgun and glock with me after that. Don't suppose you have pics do you?

Talked to a friend that said he found a dead doe with its throat mangled at the lease once and it had been covered up with leaves which is indicative of a cat. He sat in his blind waiting for a mountain lion and a bobcat showed up. It is now mounted in his living room. That is the direction I'm leaning towards and I know they will take pets so that would explain the neighbors dog.

thats not a cat.
cats kill by the neck, thene drag off to eat, or partially bury.
they won't eat it on the spot.
most likely a dog
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I found a fresh 3 1/2 yo 9pt at the ranch a few weeks ago with the same exact thing. After investigation, we confirmed a big cat had killed the deer. I phoned a fellow guide that told me that a mature lion will kill about a deer a day in this way (eating the most beneficial parts) heart, lungs and diaphram. Look at the deer's throat. Our (nice buck) had no puncture marks but had mouth print at the trachea.....Guess you should let your dogs in for the night for a while! I will try to move the pics from my Facebook to the THF
