A better pic would be someone shooting the yote before it takes down the fawn...

Very cool pic!

Actually, on a running coyote, you will need about a 10 to 15 mil lead on a yote running like that. If he's running 20 mph, then a 10 mil lead would get him. If it's a 25 mph, then about a 13 mil hold will get it. I drilled one on a trot at 90 yards and gave about a 3 foot lead and shot him in the rear legs. It was enough to anchor him and get a second round finishing shot. In the pic, you would have to hold well to the far left on the reticle, almost with the cross hairs straight on the fawn.

Great pic, but alas, I think it's shopped.

I used to let yotes walk for fear of messing up my deer hunt. I don't do that anymore.

The one Yote I have shot that was chasing a fawn, was one of my luckiest shots ever. 175 yards and broke the Yotes neck. Reaction shot as they ran across a small opening swung through like the lead on a shotgun, and got lucky. But i am glad no I tried that shot

I got this pic from a friend who I went to school with. She swears her boyfriend took the picture from his deer stand. I know he is a camera nut, so it may be legit.

I was thinking the same thing. Looks like the deer was added to a cool pic of a yote.

It reminds me of a pic I saw a while back of a bear chasing a burnt buffalo on down the road

I must just be a very lucky shot. My dad taught me at an early age to aim at the tip of the nose out to 150 yards and follow through with my .243. I have killed more than I missed with this techique. Usually drills them right in the slats! Or maybe my follow through accounts for the 11.356832 mill lead you guys talk about???
