Hey guys, same story different day.
I am trying to get in contact with my taxidermist and so far have came up unsuccessful.
His name is Logan Gardner and his screen name on here is population- control, but I don't know how often he frequents the forum.
The phone number I have for him hasn't been answered nor have I received a return text over the past couple of months. If anybody on here has any information on how I can contact him (i.e.- maybe he has a new phone number) I would much appreciate it.
For now I won't go into any further detail, but I would just like to figure out what is the situation on my buddies and my mounts.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Hello all, I am one of the buddies bu2herndog is speaking of. We have been trying to contact Logan for quite some time with no luck.
The bottom line is that he has a black buck and hog that belong to me, in addition to 3 other mounts and a tanned hide that belong to my buddies. I personally need to contact him as soon as possible. I am about to be stationed overseas, and would like to have my hog and black buck back which have been paid for in full since June.
The last I heard from him was a text on August 25th, which yielded no results. I have called and texted him this week with no response. I would be inclined to think that even if he had lost a phone or something, he would still be able to contact me using the numbers on the paper I filled out when I gave him the capes.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

With all the guys on this forum, maybe someone can crack the case. Good luck. I know it sucks!!

Why you would pay in full is beyond me, maybe a deposit but never in full, glad I don't have the issues you guys have with taxidermists

BMD, Like I stated in my first post (not being a jerk, just referring), I won't go into further detail right now because I am not trying to degrade the guy. However, there is a reason the payment was made. It was at a later date than the initial deposit was made. Trust me, I wish I didn't have these problems either.
Josh, This definitely sucks, very aggrevating with you have a lot of hard-earned trophies in the hands of somebody else who is supposed to be doing good work to preserve them for you and you can't get in contact with him.
Once again, ANY and ALL assistance is much appreciated.

Wow, that is crap. Sounds like our exact scenario, other than there are 5 mounts and 1 tanned hide involved and he is 2 months overdue on his LATEST (6 months) date, which was then shortened to 4 months and here we sit 8 months later and NOTHING.

Check with Critter Getter. Looks like he did a mount for him too. If you are on Myspace, might be able to get some info on him there. He goes to school at Sam Houston. Last time that he was on here and posted was in June. He is 23. Last known address is 1608 Woodcrest Ave, Corsicana TX 75110 Hate to hear about this and sucks you already gave him the money. Good Luck

I did write Critter Getter a PM, he never has wrote me back.
Thanks for the info txshtr.
I looked for him on facebook, but couldn't find him. I knew he goes to Sam Houston, I actually set up to meet him there to pick up the mounts on my way back from a cruise and wouldn't you know.... He FORGOT all about it and wasn't going to be able to do it. Go figure.

I don't know, but can police be contacted in Corsicana? It may be considered theft? Not sure, just an idea?

I don't know about that one Jake. I am going to check on that, he literally has 5 mounts and a tanned hide, which the hide I gave him back in December and it was already skinned. Still have yet to see it.
Thanks again txshntr.

This makes me sick at my stomach. I'll try my best to get in contact with him. I know man, if it makes you sick to your stomach, just imagine your first and only axis and fallow. My buddies first blackbuck. My other buddy flew in from Georgia on his first hunt in Texas and took a great blackbuck and 300# hog and is having those mounted (or "was" for now). Now we know nothing about them. I even got a picture from Logan back in June of a blackbuck that was finished. Where is it now? We don't know. Man there is so much more to the story, I just hope I get some kind of response or my animals soon. Bottomline is, if they aren't finished then so be it. No big deal, I understand taxidermy work can take longer than expected, but you can't even begin to imagine the hassle these last 4 months have been. And now just completely no response. Everytime I call the phone call gets manually hung up. I have wrote to his email, text message, called phone, left voicemail, wrote PM on here, wrote PM on the taxidermy site he is on. So if he uses the excuse that he lost his phone AGAIN then that just isn't going to fly.

Thanks TAT.
This really pisses me off, especially when 3 of the 4 people he has mounts of are all military and did our time over in places such as Iraq, Africa, and Afghanistan and then this is how you thank your nation's defender's? Not that it really matters, anybody who get's the run around from their taxidermist on animals they have worked hard for should be equally as aggrevated.
All the animals he has have been posted on here in the exotic section, one was my three fingers bowhunting trip and the axis was on my Koon's Canyon Ranch axis hunt.
TAT, I am trying to give him the benefit of the doubt before I exploit the complete degree of his unprofessionalism and shadyness throughout this dealing.

I will say that that address is where his parents live. He may still do some work there but I believe he moved his shop to Mildred.

I'm not defending Logan. If he wants to do that he can post but it doesn't look good in his favor.
