Let's hope he got him and he did not forget to get an anniversary gift . If he got him, that would be the best night of his life till he got home and it would turn into the worst day of his life.

I think he tried to slip in at 7:24 and the same doe and fawn bolted but blew 4 times on her exit. I feel like he bugged out on that one. Maybe in the morning.
Also had a small 8 spend about an hour in there with me.

On stand and patiently waiting. He will come by this morning and I will take him, Lord willing. If not I will try one more time Thursday evening and Friday morning after that I will not return here until the 21st of November if he makes it. Headed up to KS tonight to bait and do final preps for my hunters that begin October 30-November 17th. Hosting the Lake Fork Baptist open team bass tournament Saturday the 22nd and leave from there to fish the FLW Championship on Kentucky Lake, Tennessee. Wrap up in Tennessee head home and fly back to KS to try and get my archery rut hunters on a big one. It is non stop for the next 5 weeks running.
Blessings to all today and have a Great Day in Him.

Dry run so far. 2 other hunters out one had 5 doe and a spike. The other guy nada like me. The spike gets a pass today because that hunter forgot his release. The other hunter has an X-bow so he just needs some critters to shoot besides the eight cows that are in front of him. It's his rookie season, first time on a deer lease.

Guys I had my chance Friday night. The first time he has been seen all year, only spotted once last year by a guest with no buck tag. He is wise to the hunters ways, will take some effort to get this big boy.
Thanks for coming along on the hunt and for your support. I will update you guys on Kansas on Monday night.
Have a great day.

Back on stand this am trying for HB again.
Drove in from Kansas last night, got home at 11:30pm. Washed some clothes then up at 4:00 for the trip to Palo Pinto. In stand by 6:30 and had one 8 pt come through at 7:00am. Possible one of his scouts, never ate anything just walked past feeder and stood there looking back where he came from.
8pt walked away after 5 minutes and no deer since feeder went off at 7:15am.
I have to be in Brownwood by 11am but will be back this evening. Going to bug out in 15 minutes.
BTW I have some great looking bucks on our mineral sites in KS. My hunters should have a great season. Will post some KS pics later.

I know its not as hard on us as it is you, but I think you can tell we are all pulling for you.
A virtue in wildlife ethics is that the hunter has no gallery to applaud or disapprove of his conduct. Whatever his actions, they are dictated by his conscience, rather than by onlookers. It is difficult to exaggerate the importance of this fact."

Back in pop up. He has visited last two evenings. Wind is good, so ready to take this giant down. 6:30pm and 7:08pm have been his last two arrivals.
He is running with another P&Y crab claw 10.
Thanks for pulling for me guys.
