San Saba Produce $9.75/50# 0.14 cheaper than Super S in Llano.

Easy to work with. Couldn't get down there during business hours over Labor Day. Took my credit card number and left my corn on the loading dock. Picked it up about 10:30 Sat. night. They were willing to leave an invoice and let me slip a check under the door. Not your everyday transaction.

They knew my wife's grandfather (deceased) so maybe that had something to do with it.

FYI Just put out corn from Academy and it was full of cob, stem pieces and burrs (every bag). QA/QC is way down.

Same thing from Golden Oak this year. I have always had super good luck with thier corn. Always been clean as can be but this year it was full of stems, cobs, and even a few bird feathers. I run big 12 volt motors on my feeders so I dont think it will cause a problem, but when I pay over $10 a bag for corn I expect it to be all corn........not 10% junk!

Yeah. the corn at Dick's is far superior than years past. I posted about the change a few weeks ago. I'll be buying mine there tomorrow.

TB, you didn't say which one. It seems like their corn prices can vay by store.
I bought some of stuff at academy in College Station. Can't remember the name but it was a corn substitute. It was $5.99 a bag and is 9%protein. It looks like a small protein pellet. I just put some out on Sunday. We'll have to see if they like it. Honestly I think the deer would eat cardboard right now!

BTW, Walmart in Bryan has their remington corn for $7.88/50lb
