Just woundering if i am alone on my problem. I hunt every Native Texas creature i have access to, ie. Dove, duck, goose, deer, coyote, rabbit ect.... but i get really bored, really fast and have no desire to hunt these species HARD. But then theres hogs, I love getting a hog in the truck any and every way possible. Its just a rush for me and i love it. Consider every day giving up all other hunting to stick with just hogs. Anyone else out there?

I'm with you, I turned down several good"deer"leases this year to take one in a known hog infested area. Needless to say, my feeders definitely dont have pens around them.

i have a double addiction that is running into each other. i build and work on old VWs for fun. started hunting hogs and then i turned one of my old VWs into a truggy (half truck/half buggy) working/messing with the old VWs is addicting as hunting hogs.

I'm in the same boat,deer hunting since 1986. Have a lease that is CALLED a deer lease, but it's a hog lease with a few deer. Been on it for years, killed 1 nice buck, lots of hogs.300 ac. and we kill about 2-3 deer a year as a group.

i try to get out weekly so i would say im addicted....

i go every wednesday. i agree if i had to choose hogs would win.

I hunt 25hrs a day...8days a week...and 366 days a year amigos...

I also get green when I dont kill hogs or varmints..

I don't have a hog problem. I see hogs I try my best to shoot hogs, no problem. I've got to a point I'd rather have pig meat than deer. In season I'll take a deer but I'm starting to think hogs are tougher to hunt than deer.

i have hunted just about ever critter in texas but , i love hogs !! well i love to catch them with dogs , i have shot alot but not near as fun as catching an tieing them!!!! i think my favorite part is when you hear one bayed up or caught , you never know how big its gonna be when you get there , i seen 250 pound boars squeling like a lil pigglet surprised the heck out of me when i got there !!!

I would have to say I am addicted as well I dont get buck fever anymore but you let a big bore or a large sounder (group) with a couple nice porkers walk in and my heart dang near jumps out of my throat. Just love killing me some pigs. I just wish I knew more people that might be willing to include me in on some of the fun. Would love to get involved with a group of guys that does it frequently.Lord knows its funner and more healthy than sitting on my backside watching the cowgirls.If anyone has any or needs any help with eratication please PM me.

Ohh it goes way past addicted for me....... have set up and entire ministry that is dedicated to hogs.......

Thank goodness...I'm not the only one. My name is J.R. (Hi, J.R.!) and I am a hog hunting addict. My friends will agree...I'm pretty obsessed with it. Like so many others in this thread, I've hunted deer since I was big enough to tote Dad's .243. Still enjoy it, still find it rewarding. But sitting in a stand hearing a bunch of hogs work their way in makes my blood run hot and the adrenaline rush to my limbs.

Right now, nothing I hunt gives me the thrill that reaching full draw on a big boar does, followed closely by seeing the crosshairs of my scope settle on one's ear. There's just something about putting a good bow or rifle hit on one of those things...

Still seeking that one, awesome hog with super cutters, though. Killed some good ones, but nothing with substantial cutters, yet. I'll be buying a hog hunt or two this year and if I'm lucky I'll get to go back out with TxKiller a few times, and maybe I'll finally get one worth a good euro mount.

I worked on a high fenced game ranch for 10 years. I got tired of deer and deer hunters. We would have to kill 40+ does a year and spikes and other cull bucks.
I would much rather chase a big nasty stinking hog.

I cant get enough of them...everything else i have to wait on a season to open and watch my limits...cant hunt at night..and arnt near as dangerous...i chase pigs year round and love it
