I'd go with a Claymore.

Could try PVC piping, I have seen a couple guys use that to keep them the raccoons off of the spinner.

If you have any cattle panels you can cut some triangles(four)with boltcutters, wire them in between the legs of feeder then put chicken wire around the frame and make a little door so you can access battery, etc. We did this years ago it works great,we had tried many things and the little bastages STILL got in.Not since we used the panels and chicken wire.

Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it.

^^ you must have some nice coons. Mine would shred that in no time. It's a great idea but I would use something stronger than chicken wire.

yea, its time to get busy. My crankup has a strong guard and its working, just a matter of keeping them out of arms reach. Funny watching a coon hang there while pigs are feeding

They will figure the hanging feeders as well. I have pictures of them on top of the feeder and hanging upside down from them. One picture the feeder would be to the left and the next it would be to the right.

I had one stick his hand through the wire while he was hanging from it and spin all 200 lbs of corn on the ground in one night!

try coating the legs with cheap axel grease, it has worked on my
feeders and I run game cam pics of it and have never seen one
climb it yet,but can see were they try and wear it off a little
just regrease it, I tried carpet strips and it worked for about
a week then I guess they toughened up, but have never seen one
climb the grease in 4 years.

Now you're talking illegal - rat poison is labeled for rats & mice, not furbearing animals. Anyone doing this only hurts our hunting privileges and is an idiot!
