Anybody wear one while bowhunting?Im pretty familiar with them, and could see a few places where they would be a hinderance to a bowhunter. But I kinda like the idea of being able to move around without carrying a blind or treestand.Thoughts?

are you talking about just sitting on the ground in it or in a tree?

Nope, I'd rather work on my scent. You'll be surprised how cognizant deer of the surrounds, something out of place will usually spook them. Camo is something I don't spend a lot of money on. No need, they are color blind and I mix up my shirt with my pants. Ive shot deer with a black cowboy hat, bright red shirt, blue jeans from a ladder stand 20 yards away. Scent and noise are the two most important things in bow hunting.

A lot of that crap they sell are to attract hunters, not animals, that's why they are in business. My buddy Rowel (who messes with me too much on this forum) has killed a lot of deer wearing blue jeans and sneakers while smoking his cancer sticks.

I've used one for rifle from Custom Concealment. You can get almost close enough for a spear.

I like the leafy suits. Especially for turkey.

i will agree with Bj with most of what he is saying, the majority of a deers brain is dedicated to smell so it is easier to fool them on their other senses but that suit in a tree makes you look like a large blob i felt it made my buddy stick out then it did hide him, if its one of those real thick hairy looking ones they are just not meant to be off the ground

and yes deer are colored blind but not that they only see black and white deer sense colors toward the violet end of the spectrum with red-green color blindness so you dont need to go crazy with your camo just try to use break up patterns similar to where your hunting

All those suits are rediculous and a waste of money.

Why would you wear a suit that wind blows parts around causing movement?

Yes a waste of money.

If you can afford 21,000 it is probably not alot of money for you anyway.

Not really, you can work in real close with them if you move slow but you need a good suit.

But they do work and work nicely IF they're right. On the other hand have you even wondered why guys wear camo INSIDE deer stands?

I'm not saying they don't work with guns, but just too much junk to get in the way with a bow. The last thing you want is the string hitting your suit. To me it's just a waste of good money.

And good grief if you need to get that close with a gun, you'd better go get some shooting lessons. rofl

Last year was the first time in my life to shoot a deer with a rifle, and that was because my friend had 30 MLD deer to get rid of, I killed two does and a buck in an hour and a half. To me it wasn't what I would call hunting, it was more like killing.

Heck no. A good leafy suit and hunt in shorts and a T in October. Cooler that way.

Custom Concealment makes among the very best if you want to see a so called "correct" suit.

I wouldn't even need to take my bow. The deer would die laughing. And my pics would be banned. eek2
