Not to rub it in but I bought 30 bales for my horses last week at $6 each, but i went direct to the source and picked them out of the field my self, we ended with 100 bales on a 16ft trailer. with 3 loaders and a driver it took about an hour and a half. but feed stores have the 2 string bales for $13 and 3 string for $22 Would you care to reveal your source of $6 alfalfa? I have acess to a big truck and will travel. X2 I will buy every bale they have for $6

X2- my source is charging over 200 a ton That in its self is a purrty good price, i found 3x3x8 for $85 loaded on your truck, but it worked out to be about $236 a ton.

I dont mind helping anyone out, I did pay $6 a bale from a man in Pecos Texas, works for M & M farms, or M&N i think, i cant find his card right now. anyways, i called him today because my brother in law needed some alfalfa too but he had just sold alfalfa to fill up 2 semis. Im suppose to give him a call back this thursday to see what he has left. I didnt buy a big load so i got pushed to the back burner. Just because i didnt log on doesnt mean I lied.

So if you do get a hold of him, let him know Miguel Sotelo sent you his way, maybe I can get a discount next time I pay him a visit. I will try and get a hold of his card so you guys can try and prove me wrong. $6 in the field, $7 from the barn.

Bought an old hay feeder and made a few modifications - raised the rack and put a on roof it. Generally keeps it off the ground and offers some shade to keep alfalfa from drying out so fast. Been feeding a little over a bale of week since April. J&B Feed in South Austin selling alfalfa for $13 bale. Ranger Man - I use J&B also because I live with in a couple of miles of them. Where abouts are in relation to them?
