How many people actually where snake boots? I am pretty new to bird hunting, but am really looking forward to the season. Last year I just wore me normal boots, but I plan on spending a lot more time in the fields this year. Should I pony up for snake boots? Oh, I am mainly going to be hunting around the Houston area, with some side trips to the public lands around Beaumont and San Antonio. I only wear them where there are rattle snakes, like west Texas..

What about your retriever . The # 1 thing to have X2 that is the #1 thing because that is why I hunt and You do have good dogs Ronnie!!

We always bring a grill and hot dogs or sausage for lunch. Add pop up canopy for shade during lunch. Occasionally we might bring some sharp cheddar, bacon, and jalapenos for some of the morning birds!

You can take #13 off the list. It doesn't rain in Texas any longer. I guess you could use it as an "over the shoulder" beer cooler for the walk across the field.
