After every Saturday quail hunt, my partner and I will stop at Sweet Temptations on N.10th in McAllen to have one of their cheeseburgers with cheddar cheese on a homemade sourdough bun. Sometimes we stack mushrooms and avacado on it. If we are really hungry we'll start off with a cup of their tortilla soup. Dessert...Mississippi Mud Cake or an apple dumpling with vanilla ice cream and a cup of Green Mountain Coffee to finish it off.

I don't understand how you guys can those double burgers in public. I can't open my mouth that wide. I like one patty, one slice of cheese, and sometimes bacon.

Bill Oxner used to be able to open his mouth wide enough to eat a double meat burger until he smarted off at Ms. Paulette. She broke his jaw and in the fray he was nearly blinded in his right eye when she threw that left hook.

Baker's drive in Mckinney, Texas. Texas cheesburger and tater tots with cheese. That's the best one to get fairly quickly in Mckinney.

After you eat it, take a 30 minute nap and go do some manual labor for the rest of the day, fat boy!

^^^^^^^
This, I used to eat there all the time when I lived in Amarillo. Coyote Bluff in Amarillo used to be great too.

I am also a fan of Baker's in McKinney and Herd's in Jacksboro.

There's a new little place in Justin and now in Roanoke called OUTLAW BURGER it's great. But you have to get the THE OUTLAW, it's a double double with everything and they make jalapeno sauce to put on that burger that is awesome..... Now that HERD Burger has been sold it's open alot more often and still a great burger

Phil-

We are going great...praying for rain, but we finished strong in January and February despite the nasty weather we had. The last three hunts, all total, we had around 90 birds; 61 of those were in a day and a half.

My "main man", Zach is twelve and he's starting to slow down a bit. I guess he'll supervise this year.

We brought in a a little liver and white male yesterday that we worked with last year (owner is having some health issues and had to place him). We are excited about him...he displayed a lot of potential.

You gotta love Bill; he's a super guy and loves fun. Somebody has to pick on him.
