Well Spencer And I chased a few black birds this morning, killed a few. We only had two groups come in and managed to scratch four. The Massive Spread Drake on a Retrieve Coming back with a cripple, he was mad after that retrieve, that bird was biting him! A Days Work

I Don't know if I would eat them but I am using them to work my dog with, Something different than bumpers. Also it's a good fun warm up for your dog and your shooting.

Glad ya'll killed a few... Jace becareful having your dog retrieve wounded crows as they will peak or claw at your dogs eyes! Many dogs over the years have gone blind due to trying to retrieve wounded crows. Just sayin' be careful! J.J.

In over 50 years of owning and training gun dawgs I've NEVER allowed my dawgs to retrieve crows for exactly that reason. Remember, a crow is a predator and as such it is an instinctive reaction for them to peck at the eyes of an aggressor. The last think you want is a blind Lab or one with damaged vision. BTW ... glad to see at least one of your ponds is still holding water!
Cappy ... At my side for thirteen years, in my heart forever.

Also it will most likely make your dog have a harder mouth, when the bird is scratching him he's going to bite down or just hate picking up birds.

I wont take him crow hunting again, but a cripple is what makes his day, his eyes light up When a bird thinks he is going to get away from him.

What the others said...I don't let my dogs get crows unless I know they are dead. I need some more crow deeks. Where you using a e-caller? I bought one but have yet to use it.
