Kuby's in Dallas/Highland Park. I buy stuff in their market all the time but still have never eaten there. They have a wait many days on the weekends.

Yeah, drive to OKC for a meal, it wouldn't cost you more than 10 hours of driving and a couple hundred dollars in fuel. muyloco Almost forgot, plus the cost of the meal.

Hmmm, let's see...wife, weekend, why not leave town? I have no problem if he wants to stay in the FW area. His decision and $. Just adding my recommendation. I've driven farther for less; I guess it's all relative.

A couple hundred dollars from FW to OKC...time for a tune-up.

Take the drive up to Muenster, Texas. Eat at Rohmers or the Center Restaurant. After that, stop by Fischer's Grocery and take some of their "made in store" salami, German sausage, and cheese back home with you. Make a day of it and stop at Cabela's in north Ft. Worth, also.

Man when i was in Germany the food wasn't all that great. So i can't imagine the food being that much better anywhere over here. I did like the pork steaks, so that was pretty much the staple of my diet. Also drank a lot of Erdinger (you can get it a specs), great beer!
