Ok just got in. Seen some nice axis, but no bruisers. One decent one in full velvet. One heavy axis but had short beams. Nice fallow deer in velvet. Gonna be some NICE fallow. Chased 2 nice axis til dark but they won. My buddy missed a blackbuck and we seen prolly 20-30 blackbuck. Should be fun. Bill is a great guy that works hard to get you on the animals. Going to bed. 4 big fallow 15 yds in front of me. Wild and crazy mouflon. Whitetail, axis ( nice ones at first light but no shot, starting off good.

Ok.....I shot a very nice blackbuck this evening. Straight tape 18"...taped around the curls was 22 6/8. Very nice from judging what we have seen. Nice bb out here. But dang they are fast and a challenge to hunt. My buddy Dallas shot a heavy beamed Axis also. Not long main beams but big big bodied. Awesome axis. These have been hard to hunt. Hopefully I will get my chance in the morning. My bb is skinned, quartered and caped for shoulder mount. I dont have my computer so Glynn may post my bb but axis will have to wait. I am beat.
