We just received them this afternoon 6/23 and they'll begin mailing out by zip code to all that applied last year. New Hunt -Exotic Hunt Category - Mason Mtn. - 16 permits for one Scimitar-horned Oryx. Some added hunt areas this year...Good Luck to all!

Can they be ordered online or do they have to be picked up at a Park? I picked up one last year at Choke Canyon but I did not enter.

I was lucky enough to get drawn for 3 hunts last year...all awesome experiences, havent been picked for any in the last 11 years before. Cant wait to submit again this year.

Can we go to TPWD offices and get them there? or do we have to wait till July 1st?

If you do not live close to a TPWD Law Enforcement office or our Headquarters, you can obtain one at any State Park that offers a draw hunt or I can send one to you, just need your name and mailing address.

Can we go to TPWD offices and get them there? or do we have to wait till July 1st? They may not have them yet since we just received HQ supply yesterday, they should have them by the end of next week. Might want to give them a call to see if they have them before going there.

New hunts within Private Lands Hunt Category -
PLE -
Pecos County - Longfellow Ranch - Mule Deer Mgmt buck (ranches choice) and Cow Elk (ranches choice) - 10 permits
McMullen County - white-tailed buck - rancher's choice, 2 javelina - 1 permit
Runnels County - 2 white-tailed (either-sex, limit one buck) bucks must have 8 or less points, 6 permits.
PLA -
Blanco County - 1 white-tailed deer(antlerless only), 16 permits
Crockett County - 1 white-tailed deer (antlerless or spike buck) 6 permits.
Just a few that were added this year!

This is extremely sad since we try so hard to keep and hold onto what little public hunting lands we have and always are looking for more...just takes private landowners to offer their lands for hunting, but can't blame them for getting the most they can for their property.

How long until the online version is published? The one on the TPWD web site is still last years.

TPWD usually receives the drawing hunt booklet the last week in June each year and then they are mailed out by zip code and then those who applied the previous year should recieve them shortly after.
