first of all, I'm too blind to be a great shot, below 20-20 corrected.
OBR 7.62 with Federal Gold Match a solid 0.8-0.9 MOA for me 100 yards.
Savage Model III 30-06 1.0-1.2 MOA with balistic tips.
I have a lead sled and those numbers come down a few tenths on the 30-06. OBR doesn't kick, 30-06 throws your shoulder out first shot.

looks like the rem 700 5r's have a trend of being great shooters from all the post.

My best friend has one, we load 43.5 grs of Varget under a 175 gr SMK in a piece of Federal GMM brass and get to work. I have never seen another gun that will perform like that Rem. 700 5r. I hate to say that because I really like my Savage Model 12BVSS. It will out shoot my gun, and my gun ain't no slouch.

I have a Savage 12FV in .243. 26" heavy barrel, Accu-trigger that I modified by removing the center blade, and re-working the rest of the trigger. With that gun I can shoot spent casings off the 2X4 target boards at 100 yards repeatedly. This is with only the primer end of the casing facing back towards the bench. On paper, it is too easy to make one ragged hole with 5 shots. I've never shot any other rifle that shoots that well reliably. I have complete confidence in that gun anytime I pick it up.
A hog is nothing more than a bullet receptacle.

Mossberg 500 with 00 buck shoots a good ragged hole. It's very accurate and you don't even have to aim just point and shoot.
Anyone can own a fancy gun but can you shoot it ?

Post '70 Mod. 70 Win. in .270. This gun amazes me every time I put it on paper. I've clover-leafed 3 shots at 200 yds with it. The only drawback to this gun is the light profile barrel as multiple shot will string vertically due to the bedding.
Old age ain't for sissies!

Savage model 12fv in .223, one holes them at 100, and will do just over an inch at 300. I can hit pretty decent at 400-500 but the wind kicks my a$$ there, time for some bigger bullets.
Next would be my stevens 22-250AI, ER Shaw barrel, it will shoot .5 inch at 100

Savage 10fcp 5R, shooting 42g Varget under a 175 smk gives me consistent sub .5 moa. With a 155 scenar and a little more powder, it gives consistent sub .4 moa groups.

Its a toss up between my Rem 700 VLS in 7-08 or my Rem 700 25-06. That 7-08 will digest darn near any load you put in it.

It's a tie between my 700VS in 22-250 in factory form or the custom 700P in .308
