8.50 for the 40lb bag at academy down here in Laredo

Anybody know any places in the Hill Country (I'm in Burnet County) that are cheaper on protein and corn? The place I have been buying from has gone up more than $100/ton in the last month on 20%.

Academy's corn prices already went up. I am sure you local feed store could make you a deal..

HEB's in Austin still have corn (Mummes) for $8.97 50lb bag. Also Acadmey has the 18% protein pellets at $7.99 for 40 lb. This equate to $9.99/50lbs.

Make sure you tell them (Academy) not to charge sales tax. I received refund after inquiring with corporate headquarters in Katy and referencing Texas Administraive Code regarding sales tax on agricultural products. They were going to re-program system to exclude this product from sales tax on the registers.

$7.27 for a 30# bag at Walmart last night. hadn't seen a 30# bag before.

I saw the same price, $7.27 at the Austin Walmart for #30 bags. What's going on, first #50 then #40 and now #30 bags of corn. If it keeps up this pace, it is likely that they will be sell us #5 bags for $4 by the time that the season starts.

I got 50# bag at Brookshires in Troup Texas for $9.50

Well everyone hang on to your hat. I was in Shamrock this weekend paid $10.95 for #50. I was shocked but I shouldn't have been I guess.

as of last w/e, Mumme's in Rio Medina was 8.95/ 50# bag. Record Rack 20% is $11.95/50#

Headed from Burleson to El Dorado (Schliecher County) to fill feeders. Any help on best prices of corn along the way? I've seen Walmart at around 9$ for 40lb bag at the best so far. Spoke to the manager there and he said they are even having trouble getting more pallots of corn.

It's only going to get worse as the drought continues.

On the news 2 day's ago they said corn prices have gone up 84% since this time last year, so watch your piggy banks!

in falls city #50 baggs were $8.80 last week...

Buckee's in Madisonville is $8.50 for a 50# bag

7.49 for 40 lbs at Atwoods Farm and Ranch. I work pt there and get it for $6.00.

Just paid 8.49 for a 40# bag at academy in Lubbock. Is it just me or did corn go up 3 dollars a bag since last year?

Dang, I was whining about paying $7.75/50# at the feed store in Cooper.

$9.45 per 50# in Groesbeck today. Hopefully it will go down by Sept/Oct.

Picked up 12 bags today at Mummies for 8.50 per 50#... You can get the same apple scented Mummies at HEB(where available) for 8.90......

Just stopped at Dicks Sporting Goods in Rockwall. 40 lb bag of corn is 6.98 right now. Don't know how long it is good for.
