does anyone have contact information on them? I need to TRY (keep word Try) to get in touch with someone there so I can see if I can get my husbands and his friends ducks back (my husbands friend is related to them and they still can't return the animals).

A first and last name, phone number, email address, anything!

I am from Longview TX and I can't just show up to talk to them.

Any help would be great!

Thanks!

I spoke to the Game Warden yesterday. I was told this will likely be a civil matter for the courts and not a criminal matter. But AYW Taxidermy is on their radar from previous complaints. I don't understand how the owner of this company can live with himself. What a punk!

I just joined in this forum, so Hello everyone!
The reason for my new membership, is because I found this forum, when I googled AYW taxidermy. I have also been victimized by AYW Taxidermy and I was shocked at how many of you have also lost your trophies by them.

My husband killed a bobcat in our BACKYARD, and it was a very good size bobcat. He has been hunting, before, and had buddies kill bobcats, that did not compare to the size of this one.

It was after dark, when he killed it and AYW was the only place we knew, to take it, so we did and they did not give us any kind of papers or take money from us, or anything. So, I'm not really sure that we have any kind of case, except that we just want our mounted bobcat. My husband was so proud of this and now, we only have pictures of it, to show.

We have called, and called and left notes with AYW, with no success. A friend of ours suggested we called, during hunting season, and I did, and someone answered, only to tell me that he only handles deer processing and not the taxidermy side of the business. Course, I knew leaving another message wasn't going to get me anywhere.

After reading all of the posts, I was thinking maybe if we got a list of names and contact information and their items, maybe we could give it to the authorities, (maybe, that would be the game warden?) so if and when this case does come to a close, maybe we can get our trophies and/or our meat, back to us, or we could get something out of the deal, especially those that have money involved, unlike me.

What do you think? Any other suggestions?

I'll do whatever I can...Thanks!!

Tapout, I did and the owner lives on Ft. Worth. His name is Robert Sutton. As far as I'm concerned, he's a pile of trash for taking my memory and running off. His shop is never open. I've queried the surrounding stores and they all sing the same tune. He's never open, only showing up ocassionally, and lots of customers complaining. Since he doesn't seem to have a problem opening during hunting season and stealing hunters memories, you can bet I'll be there demanding resolution.

I took a deer there 3 1/2 years ago. I know his son, and I've been up there multiple times. I was told that they have changed tanneries 3 times since then. That's what they're "waiting" on... I went up there about 2 months ago and bitched at one of the employees. It was pretty funny because I've studied micro expressions and can read body language very well. He was full of sh** and knew his routine very well. It obviously wasn't the first time this has happened. I noticed deceit, no remorse, and contempt. Meaning he's been through it multiple times, and didn't care because it happens so often. I honestly don't know if anyone has gotten their mounts back from them. They've had the same 10-12 mounts on the floor in there for 3 1/2 years now. I'll be back up there soon, but his son and he are both a$$ holes.. The worst part about it is, they don't even know which animal is mine.. I asked if they could find where it was, and he said "I have no way of telling you that."
How in the hell do you not know where you're products are? If you can't find my product, how the hell are you going to know who to call when you have it back in your store? If you changed tanneries, wouldn't my mount be at the new tannery?

Another question I have is even if you have changed tanneries 3 times in 3 years, many Taxi's finish their work in 6-9 months. Why didn't these tanneries finish anything at all? I'm not a taxi, but I can tan a bobcat, coyote, and snake skin in 2 weeks, and I get the stuff from Academy.... I can't imagine a professional taking 6 months just to tan.

Now that this got brought up again, I'm going to make a few calls and see what I can do or find out. I'll post what I get.

I still have my receipt, and plan on using it. If I don't get my deer back, there's a nice mount that's been layin on the ground in there for 3 years that would look good on my wall.

Just got off the phone withtwo game wardens. Now calling constable in Presinct 7. Ok so here it goes...
Small claims court for monetary damage, which would be included in everyone's situation because of the down payment (1/2 for AYW).
Justice Court for the Items they have not returned...
Basically you have to file these individually, but I'm trying to find a way to get this handled. Speaking to Distric Court now..

And I'm done with the District Court. As of now, everyone has to file a complaint individually. I am now being directed to the Attorney General's office. I think I'll hold of on that until tomorrow unless someone wants the number..

You might consider finding a lawyer that could push a class-action type suit. If you can get 5 or 10 or 15 people as complainants, you can all sue him and the business collectively for fraud.

That's a good idea Tapout. Thanks for the suggestion. Since the business doesn't appear to be incorporated at any level, I think I might do one against his personal property as well. I'm also considering filing a theft report. With all the complaints this bag of crap is piling up, I'm beginning to wonder if he's selling these for his own personal benefit or maybe using them to build game rooms for wealthy clients. He's such a maggot.

I also have two animals at his shop. One pushing 3 years the other will be 2 years this decenber. I live fairly close to his shop and drive by trying to catch someone there but it never happens. I also saw a legal notice on the window one day and should have taken the info down but didnt. I also would like to know how to get my animals back and i guess i am going to speak with the Game Warden and also the sheriff. Has anyone out there had any luck getting anything done?

Getting the media involved usually does the trick. Maybe contact one of those local news station investigative reporters.
