We eat ours, and feed the bones to the dogs.

One I trap or shoot, I keep a few smaller ones for bbqing and have plenty of co-workers and friends take all the rest. It's always nice to have those that will take them as soon as you shoot them and not have to field-dress or skin. Only 1 friend I skin and quarter since he lives 3 hrs away and they're iced down when he drives up.
The big rutting boars, nope, they go behind the pond dam for coyotes and vultures, then I trap the coyotes.

95% of mine are alive when dropped off at Buyer...
95% of the other 5% are kept in a trailer and killed when I want to clean and eat them..
The other miniscule % is shot in the wild and butchered up then..

Most of the hogs I shoot go to people, but I don't go too far out of my way to see that it happens. I have a few numbers of neighbors and the first one I call that says they will come out and get the hog is the one that gets it...unless I have other plans for it.
Right now, I am trying to shoot adults to process for the complete skeletons and so I have quite the maggot and dermestid colony at my place.
Personally, I have no wish to properly butcher and prep the meat for human consumption. I am just trying to help keep in check a problem that is damaging my property. If the neighbors want the meat or the local U's want the skeletons, I am glad to help out. Otherwise, the buzzards and coyotes can enjoy my efforts.

One good thing is to donate a portion and keep the rest. It can be hard to do all the processing yourself though so he careful
