We recently wrapped two pens with hog panel and two more with chain link fence. Ironically the pen in the video is the only one left that is not double wrapped. That will probably change this year or next. Pretty funny though.

the guy deserved it......barrel was up side down in the bracket or the legs were too short either way not smart at all. Now add in the fact he did not put T-post braces on the feeder legs and you have a receipt for disaster sucker..... the goats!

Precisely why I'll never hunt property that has goats on it. Look at the grass around pen...oh wait, there is no grass. The goats ate it all.

I am here in Oakland today on my last flight with the people I have worked for for the last 16 YEARS.The Liberals running around between here and berkley make goats look good. So if any of you think you hate goats, sheep, cows or anything else, you need to come here. It changes your whole perspective on what really matters. Ranchman, is there any more popcorn left for me?

Thing about it is that goats are like deer, they are browsers and do not eat grass. They will eventually eat grass when all the browse is gone, but they eat more weeds and low growing brush than they ever eat grass-wise. Another fact is that the rancher in all likelihood can make more from the goats than he can from the hunting.

Another fact is that the rancher in all likelihood can make more from the goats than he can from the hunting. I know I make a heck of a lot more from my goats than I do from the deer. I know, someone is going to say that if I did not have the goats then I would make more from the deer. I tried the deer by themselves and they would not even get close to what the goats bring in. Plus the goats do not take near as much or as expensive feed as the deer do. Whitetail deer are not a very agressive animal when it comes to getting food for themselves. All the studies that the T.P. And W. did with exotics vrs. whitetail in high fenced pastures the exotics always won out.

Choot em!
They taste just like venison rolled up in a tortilla.
I hunted a ranch down toward Menard that had goats, they were the biggest PITA ever.

Where is the guy that posted a story about the lease he was on and his dad's buddy shooting six of the farmers goats after they had paid to not have them on the land? I about cried when I read that story, bears repeating Here it is: "Not always the case...a few years back our lease was LOADED with those long haired mohair's. We PAID the lease owner the grazing rights he was getting to get em off... .50 an acre I believe...cost all of us about $180 extra. It was a picture perfect opening morning...cold...a little wind...when the sun came up my feeder was GONE....I glassed all over for it....finally saw ONE feeder leg sticking up in a dry creek bed. Darn goats ate it dry then knocked it over getting the last piece of corn out of it. Then I hear them BA****DS...must be 40 of em laying out where the feeder used to be...So I proceeded to shoot em...one by one. When I got back, our lease ramrod asked what all that shooting was...I told him the story and that I shot 6 goats. He asked me WHY I shot the 6 goats...I said cuz I only had 6 bullets...2 weeks later they were all gone...moved to a different pasture....all we had were a few stragglers... So we had a binding agreement...PAID extra for it...but the leaseowner didn't hold up his end of the bargain (til he started losing goats). While I certainly agree to know what you are dealing with up front, sometimes THAT doesn't even work..."
