Seven hours of continuous use is a long time for any battery driven light setup. The average solar charger probably wouldn't be able replenish a battery system that is large enough to drive a light for seven hours. If you are looking for something cheap and only large enough to see right at the feeder and not the peripheral areas, a Kill Light is probably your best bet. It's just a bunch of itty-bitty LED lights shaped like a Frisbee. I think it's about $50, but then again, you will be getting what you pay for...a cheap light with a radius of only about 20-30 feet. If it's a 12 volt system, you could attach a deep cycle marine battery and see what happens. Good luck bud.

+1 on the Kill Lights from Elusive Wildlife Technologies. I've got a couple of them that I've been using for a few months now and they have worked great. You can run them from your feeder battery or put in "C" batteries. They have the photocell to bring 'em on from dusk to dawn or you can turn them on/off when you want.

If you want to stay cheap get solar powered garden lights and tie them to the feeder poles. You will be able to shot out to 50 yards

i started out and still using the wildgame moonshine lights but have switched to the clear lens because the green and red lens are a little dim for old eyes. i got a kill light (lot brighter) but didn't like the fact that it only had dusk to dawn and would kill a 12 volt feeder battery over night. i modified my kill light with a motion sensor ( http://shop.eepsales.com/12V-Motion-Sensor-Switch-EEP-MS-12.htm) and mounted both to a board that hangs on a shelf bracket off the feeder. haven't done any field testing but using the photocell on the light and the motion sensor should reduce day time power usage and also night time usage. the company also sells a 12 volt time. i purchased some lights from harbor freight,(10.00) disk shaped with a bunch of small white led lamps, it has magnets on the bottom-i duct taped some red lense plastic over it and it sticks under my metal feeders, works about 3 to 4 hours on 2 aa batterys-i can't set more than 4 hours tops here lately so they work fine for me---just my 2 cents---there plastic and cheap, but they work

Put my Kill Light on when I got to the stand friday with fresh bateries. I set it on photocell so it would run from dark till daylight. I took it off the feeder when I left Sunday and it will still shine now. So I have about 20 hours total and counting on one set of batteries.

So I have about 20 hours total and counting on one set of batteries. but that was using the 6 C batteries (6 volt), correct? i need 12 volts for the motion sensor and a kill light will drain a 12 feeder battery overnight. don't know why or how it works that way but it does. i was just trying to combine everything so i could charge one 12 volt battery with a solar charger that ran the light and the feeder. for some reason my pigs won't come into the lights that are on but don't mind them coming on while they are under the feeder. weird pigs!!!

4 "C" batteries in mine but it has a cord that you can hook up to the battery and run it with the solar panel. I dont leave mine out, the coons have enough stuff to hang from and tear up already, they dont need another $50 worth.
