Well finally got back on this bad boy.........we've got enough water now maybe we can use it this fall. We spent the last two Saturdays working on the trailer getting new paint and new lights with wiring.....the boats next.......

So 3 years on the trailer, now probably 3 years on boat, then another 3 years on motor, 2020 hunting season it should be ready?

Between paying for college, cheer, and dance there just never seemed to be money for this thing. I told my wife two weeks ago I'm either finishing it this summer or I was going to sell it. I have times where I have actually had the money to finish it since I started it but just couldn't get motivated because my duck hole was high and dry and has been for two years. It has water right now but just barely. I'm banking on long term weather forecast that are saying it will be wet in the future as well. Hopefully we will roll it opening week........

if you did decide to sell it, how much were you thinking?

It may be for sale if we don't get rain by the first week in duck season. I've got other projects I will move on to that will need the cash (new to me bass boat or collector car).

Lake Cooper will still be a mud flat so looks like its a sell

You'd think that but the last time it was full it caught 23 feet of water in late May, June, and July and ended that run 10 feet high. That year we hunted in the timber and it was awesome......

If you don't get water a bass boat won't do you any good.

The bass boat will probably never see Cooper, just not into stripers and catfish that much......Fork, the tri-lakes, all the small lakes, around here, and most of north Louisiana is where it will go.........

So, Cooper has Stripers? I did not know that.

Hybrids and sand bass I believe......a few crappie too and they have been on the rebound the last couple of years........

Why not finish the boat and hunt a different lake that has water?

Thought about that too......I have friends that hunt points north of here on the weekends, thought about hunting those bodies of water during the week. I hunt mid week because of the weekend crowds here on the Barney, burning vacation to do so.......The older I get the harder it is for me to get out of bed to go. With the Barney I can hunt during the week and not have to be on a spot until a few minutes before LST because most everyone else is at work.........
