Alright guys its that time for our 2nd Annual Wild Hog Hunting Tournament. Will be held in Lone Oak, Tx March 18th, 19th, 20th 2011. You will hunt your own places and bring your best 5 hogs to be weighed in, the teams with the top three weights will take 1st @ 50%, 2nd @ 30%, and 3rd @ 20%. Thier will also be an optional Big Hog Jackpot that will pay out 100%. You can have a 1-4 man gun team or a 2-4 man dog team. Entry fee is $50.00 per man and optional big hog entry fee is $50.00 per team. Tournament check in will be @ 4163 CR 3132 Lone Oak, TX 75453 by the Sabine River bridge (look for signs by the hwy) or entry by mail is available. Sign up times start Friday March 18th 2011 from 1pm-8pm. Tournament start at 5pm March 18th 2011. Weigh in will be Sunday March 20th 2011 @ 10am. 20% will be pulled from entry fees to accomidate for food and drinks, whatever is left over will be added back into payout money. How will you know if the pig has been trapped or not?

90% of the time their noses are torn up from charging the trap and by looking at thier feet. We try and give people the benefit of the doubt and hope everyone stays honest but if thier is a questionable entry thier will be a polygraph available.

is there 2 classes? for people that shoot them from a stand etc. and dog hunters? just wondering since you cant teach a dog to catch the biggest hog in the pack. seems like a waste with dogs. jw

no sorry it's all one. Yes this is true you cannot teach a dog to grab the biggest pig, but when a gun hunter shoots on a piece of property 90% of the time they have to move to another property, when a dog team can catch, tie and turn the dogs back lose for another one. Thats why they call it hunting not catching. Last year our 1st place team was a dog team.

how many teams entered last year?

12 teams total wich was about 40 people 1st place pd out close to $1k and big hog pd out around $800 i believe.

How big is the area that each team is assigned to hunt?
