Hey Gdogg, I was told by Guy that we have very similar boats. You mind me asking what kind of jack plate ya got on it? How much do they run?

Oh yeah, I should get back ...

Got a Sea Ark 1648 w/ outboard that I purposely bought for fishing and hunting.

I hunted out of a jon boat with a 6 hp evinrude for one season. I changed to layout blinds, so I just take my bass boat and then park it a hundred yards down the bank.

I'm selling my jon boat, motor, and blind frame. Layouts are SO MUCH more effective, or so I think.

14ft jonboat with a 6hp longtail. Started out as a light fly fishing skiff, but honestly gets more use as a duck boat due to scheduling issues the last few years. Great river runner.

Also have a very wide and stable 14' canoe. Plan on duck hunting out of that some in the coming season.

Thought for the day: Ducks were almost hunted to extinction long before camo was invented.

Just bought a Triton Ambush 18. Plan to fish out of it and use it for transportation during duck season.

I just bought a 16 foot flat bottom with a 40 hp. I plan to put a deck up front and use it for fishing in the spring and summer and duck hunting in the fall. I doubt I will hunt out of the boat. No matter how much camo you put on it they still stick out. We will probably use layout blinds or get into some trees.

Its going to be different since I've only hunted on ponds but I'm looking forward to the adventure.

We run just one boat only bc there is only one thing you need a boat for and that's duck hunting. We got a 31 hp longtail on a 18ft go-devil

Here is a Avery Quik Set Blind on a 14 foot boat. It not too hard to put together, but it will take you a whole day. It's good to have some help:
