Niether is any better than the bedding job you add to them. From my limited understanding of rifle stock accurizing, I don't think that statment is true. I was under the impression that the whole point of accurizing the stock is to achieve the maximum amount of stiffness and rigidity between the barrel/receiver group and its connection to the rifle/bedding. I can not be convinced that a hybrid type system of stock + glass bedding is stffer than a single piece of machinced aluminum.
I'm a dude who likes long barrels!

I can not be convinced that a hybrid type system of stock + glass bedding is stffer than a single piece of machinced aluminum. My point is the aluminum block does very little to actually bed the stock and action. The aluminum is there to provide strength. You still have to bed the rifle even with the aluminum block to achieve proper fit. The actions on some rifles with the aluminum block is lucky to touch the stock except at the points of pressure provided by the action screws. Just because you have an aluminum block in the stock does not mean your rifle is properly bedded.

I dont have any McM's only HS's, but one thing I dont like about the HS stocks is the the oversized palm swell. I will going a different route someday, maybe the Manners T5A.
