I've just moved down here to Galveston so I have to scout and get my spots mapped out. But I've also got property on the Sabine River in far east texas that I have to work on. It's been in my family for like 30 years now. Its a 2 acre spot River side. You walk down past the shed and into the water. Its been flooded more then once lol. It has a trailer house and flooded timber when we get the rain. Used to have river access to some KILLER green head action. And Woodies like you wouldn't believe. Question is are our spots still there?
I just have to do alot of work on it. When my Grandpa passed away it was abit to much to go down there. So it hasen't been hunted in awhile. Gotta fix some pipes. Put a floor down and basicly see if IC can salvage the place I learned to hunt as kid. But I sure plan to. Now if only I could find some help up in Green Head country...

This........ and this........ and this........ The boat a trailer are united as one and prepped for duck season complete with one of Copperhead MFG's mud motors.... The Blazer gets a new paint job soon and hits the show circuit locally and hopefully we will get some more wins.

I just got a 14 ft aluminum flatbottom I'm going to paint and try and find a motor for. Gonna be my first real duck boat besides the canoe.

Working on some 'duck butts' just installed a bunch of lights on my boat, going to do some work on my boat trailer. Train a new dog. Clean up the garage and put gear away.

Finding a good lease and training my dog to handle. Once she has handling down we'll be ready to rock n roll and the hardcore training will be behind us.

Load more shells and start on hand carving my first duck decoy. Need to do some continuing education on Snipe my lab and keep her rolling like she did all year in her first year out. Cant wait to get back out though.

Attempt to make some Sandhill decoys. Either they are going to turn out good, or really, really bad!
-If I buy any more waterfowl hunting stuff this year I'll be eating cat food and crackers for dinner.

I've started carving my first cork decoy. Been pretty fun so far and I'm leaning toward carving a whole rig, but haven't decided for sure.
Need to turn my utility trailer into a waterfowl/kayak/canoe trailer with deek and supply storage. Then test it out by canoeing to some of my favorite spots.
Wouldn't mind dropping a new mud motor on the back of my boat, but the one I want is close to $3k shipped to me.
Thought for the day: Ducks were almost hunted to extinction long before camo was invented.
