I have a couple of 5 hole dog boxes that are on a vehicle I purchased not too long ago.
I really don't use them, and was considering taking them off and selling them.
They are the diamond plate stuff with two good sized storage compartments on top. They also have the sheet metal slides to keep the doors more sealed. I really don't know all the proper lingo but they seem pretty nice to me.
Any help with value would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ditto! I can't picture a 5 hole dog box for a pickup.

From your original post I assume that the boxes are not attached to each other or the water tank. I would put the cost of the boxes at around 1500 each new. I bought a 10 hole box that fits on a 8' bed that is one unit and mounts on top of the bed. It cost me $1000.00 but I believe I got a real deal. The materials cost almost that much. It looks to me that the boxes or to long to mount crossways on the bed of a truck and too wide to slide in the bed of the truck and open the doors of the truck. Therefore you market is limited to someone who has a similar vehicle or flat bed truck or is willing to spend the money to modify them to fit on top of the bed of a truck. If you will provide the measurements of each unit I believe I could give you a better idea of the value. They look to long to fit on anything but an 8' bed. Very nice looking boxes. PM me and I will give you a web site to advertise them. I have had great success buy and selling items on the web site.

Do I see a BBQ pit on the top level of that thing?
As to the value of the dog box, I'm kinda stumped
It looks like it's got four storage boxes and five holes per side? plus a water tank? all made out of aluminum diamond plate? It's got to be worth a small fortune in material alone. How does it compare in size to say a flat bed pickup? If it was mine I'd throw what whole setup on a trailer cause that is a pretty sweet dog box. The whole rig is awesome. what did you use it for?
This is only a wild guess, but I wouldn't think two fifty per side would be out of line, and might be pretty cheap. The odd size is the only thing that might hang you up with selling. I don't think I'd go much lower than that, but like I said it's all a guess. Shoot just a regular two hole square tube and hog panel dog box will go for two hundred.

They're probably worth $50...but I'll go ahead and give you $100, but you have to pay shipping. That's a sweet rig!

WOW. Cool rig! By the size of those boxes it looks like you might have a limited market. They would probably make good boxes to mount on a trailer frame though.

The boxes are independent of the water tank and they each have two large storage compartments above them. The water and fuel however are together and this vehicle will not do very well without a fuel tank so that will stay with the Green Weenie.
No BBQ pits anywhere on it but that's a great idea.
I am actually considering selling the entire rig since I have leased out my ranch and don't use it much anymore.
Establishing a value for the dog boxes is to help in estimating a value for the entire vehicle although I am not opposed to taking them off and selling them but if I decide to sell the entire rig I would try that first.
Thanks for the help.

I think I'd sell the whole rig.
What's the quail report on your leased ranch?

It is not leased for quail. Just deer. It is in Val Verde County. Don't think that is much of a quail area. The vehicle however is currently in Jack county at my lease sitting where it has sat since I brought it up from the VVC ranch last September.

I guess if you're dog number 5, a 5 hole box would be pretty darn valuable, ha!
