Weatherford TX varmint calling contest

Location: Bargain hunter outdoors,2201 tin top road, weatherford, Tx 76087
Times: 7AM Sat -9AM Sun
General information: Mail in entry fee must be in by 5pm the Thursday before the contest.
Send money order or cashiers check with entry form to Gabe Salmons. On the money order or cashiers check provide e-mail address to receive a receipt conformation. For the locals you can bring your entry to Bargain hunter Outdoors between 7p.m. & 9p.m. Cash is acceptable for personal entries. Polygraph will be given to money winners. We pay one place per 10 teams on the main pot. Heavy pots available for $10.00 each. A Calcutta is also available for $10.00. Ten animal cap on all species. This contest will last for a total of 26 hours. Entry fee per team is $150.00. 1-4 man teams no more.
If you enter main pot, all 4 heavy pots and calcutta it will be a total of $200.00 which is easily divided 4 ways between hunters.
Points: Mountain Lions =200 points
Red fox = 70 points-10 animal cap
Bobcat = 35 points-10 animal cap
Coyote = 25 points-10 animal cap
Grey fox= 10 points-10 animal cap
Coons = 5 points-10 animal cap
Positives: Having a 26hr hunt with mail in entries helps everyone (for example):
Hunters not from around the area can be ready to hunt when tournament starts
Local hunters can hunt longer while west, south or north hunters are driving back

(Rules)
Texas and Oklahoma
No hunting out of helicopter�s or boats.
No pooling of animals.
No baiting an area to hunt.(if the animal has died you may hunt by the animal but can not either kill an animal and place it somewhere or move an animal after natural death.
You must hunt out of a registered vehicle, no four wheelers or mule type atv�s
Team members must hunt on same piece of property, They may split but must remain on the same property.
You must hunt only land you have permission to hunt on or state required land.
No shooting off of public roads(if you have a ranch road that only goes to your land owners house in the middle of the property with the owners land on each side of the road that is fine.
If you drive up on a animal or walk up on a animal you must come to a complete stop. Squeak, call, or make some kind of noise to make that animal commit before pulling the trigger. By committing I mean he must stop and look at you. You may shoot coons out of trees as long as they are looking at you.
All team members may not start hunting until tournament starts.
Only animals that have been shot during contest hours will count for the contest
No adding weight to your animal.
There will be a polygragh given, depending on how many teams there will decide how many test will be given.
Must follow all state rules.
100% payback except cost of the polygragh unless it is sponcered

Do you have to find your own land to hunt in the area and how easy is it to get permission to hunt there property I was wanting to do one of these hunts but was unsure on how the property thing worked

Yeah tapout you can hunt anywhere you have permission or public land that permits varmint hunting . Hunted this hunt last year and had a great time . Ill be back there this year .

Does anyone have any information about the Carlton Kendrick Memorial Hunt in Graham? Is it being held this year, and when? Thanks.

Or does anyone know of any other hunts? Im in Abilene, I hunt with guys from Throckmorton and Seymour. So anywhere is good.
I read some old post about something in Archer. Is that your hunt Clay? And are you still putting it on?

Clay has the Archer county hunt, contact him. Im sure he knows of hunts throughout the state.

So these Varmits can be taken from any county?

Yes Clay answered all the questions for me any private land with permission or public land following all guidlines and restrictions per state,
it's a really fun hunt with some great guys including clay, lol
also I think we got some guns and gift cards donated for the hunt to the hunting store where the hunt is being held hope all can join

does Bargain Hunters know about the hunt yet? i went in a couple weeks ago and nobody knew anything about it haha

I don't know about everyone else but I'm broke, why did you go up 50bucks this year.Hunted last year in it, not sure about this time though.

I went up this hunt because everyone that really likes to enter these things expects to win,atleast everyone i know enters to win,
I went up 50.00 dollors because the way we pay which is (pay 1 team per 10 teams entered)if you win you win big.And were not all out here to win our gas money back. I hope you still can make it.

Well big lake no one ever really let's us know in advance who's coming I know it would be alot of help if they would though

I just recieved the custom calls and the videos that were donated and we are going to be making breakfast burritos and hot coffee for Sunday it looks like it's gonna be a good turn out I know for a fact there will be at least over 20 teams and if everyone was smart they would double there odds and hunt the Stephenville hunt the same weekend, there spaced 3 hrs apart and it's only and hr drive there

I hope all can make it and if y'all wouldn't mind give mr a heads up on who's coming for the wife on making coffee and food
