and yes I still drive the suburban to this day. I removed the carpet, and let it dry then cleaned it and my wife said "I like it better without the carpet, you just take it to the lease and get it muddy any way " I knew I married her for a reason. just wish she would have told me before I took the effort to clean it all up!

Oh well. but yup. runs great. I drive it 3-4 times to the lease a week (28 miles from door to blind)... So a few hundred miles a week.

I am a die hard chevy man.

Garry has seen him too and says his back comes up to the winch on his feeder leg. Said he'd easily clear 200 pounds. You have enough to worry about with the mount of that black monster........

yeah you better get your hog before he shows back up at my section! My bow is shooting great and I am looking to get my heaviest hog record in the hog master competition! he would deffinitaly compete!

I had to give up and call a ford man to pull me out (whose wife drives a chevy! )

The story is I went out to the lease after last years "floods" and hadnt filled my feeder or checked the traps in a few weeks (because the water was flowing!) Bow season was about to start so i wanted my feeder feeding.

Well, I got 2 miles back to the creek crossing, and I saw this AGAIN! although it was a few feet lower than last time...

So I was messing with the wife about going across, and told her to hold my beer and started edging in checking the depth. (couldnt remember what it looked like dry). WELL, as the cold water hit the 4x4 actuator (thermal control actuator) my 4x4 disengaged and the flow of the water started sucking us in, and I couldnt get back out.

I dove out the window and told the wife to keep it running! I went back and grabbed my carrier seen in prior pics with hogs on it and started moving the suburban 20 ft or more back in fourth (it was floating) trying to get the back wheels to grab something! NO LUCK! crap! started grabbing big rocks, and going under water trying to lodge them under the tires. NO LUCK!

OK, call chris (SATX) who lives 10 minutes from lease... NO CELL SIGNAL in the valley! CRAP walk out till I got some, and was on the way.

got there just in time, as the suburban started struggling to stay running.

he drug us out, and I took it home, and changed all fluids/regreased things etc. (no water made it to the intake) just in the tranny. So changed that out a few times.

Found my wallet floating 50-100 yards downstream after i realized I lost it!



drove it to work today because its friday and I felt like driving it instead of the car! Its a 30 mile drive to work for me one way.

I gave up when I bought the truglow extreme for my martin... 5 pin wrap around light up sights. Love em.

But I do like these. and the sights are DEAD ON! I havent even adjusted them since I bought it, and i am shooting water bottles at 30 yards!

Checked the game cam cards after we talked and that red bass-tard is hitting the feeders and pipe at 7PM. Can't figure out why he is running with that sow and piglets for so long now. She can't be in heat for weeks on end....


He's due for a nice long nap and I think I'll give him a 165gr sleeping pill tonight.....
