7-08 BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD. WHAT!! Now you are getting into my expertise... The best thing since sliced bread is peanut butter, grape jelly. And cheddar cheese! I may not know the BCE of a 7mm but I know fat food!

I prefer the 50 BMG. Sometimes it renders the meat useless, but my lazy azz doesnt like to track deer.

I think some where is the Texas declaration of independece it states that every free man in this state must own a .270win, however .308 & 30-06 may be substituted with forum aproval.
When I cross the border to Oklahoma I can carry my .257wby or 300wby without fear of legal action

There is no, best one caliber/cartridge for deer in Texas, or anywhere else for that matter.
It all boils down to personal preference.
Hunting conditions vary from one county to the next and even from one area in a county to the next.
Also individual abilities and experience vary among hunters.
Use whatever works for you and do not wory if your buddies or anyone else thinks your wrong.
