I can say without a doubt, I would not use a processor again unless I knew they gave you back YOUR deer ONLY... Kuby’s is one such processor, thank God...
What I witnessed there on Monday was freakin gross! These people showed up with deer that were dark red/brown (like it had been sitting for too long), and I sure as heck wouldn’t want that meat mixed with mine!
So unless I know I am getting only MY animal back (which I know has been handled properly from beginning to end), I say NO PROCESSOR other than Kubys.

Sportsmens Memory in Grapeland. Have been extremely pleased with them. Excellent cuts of meat and very friendly people to deal with. I highly recommend them.

Miillers in Llano does a great job when we have a hill country lease.
We used Doziers out in Fulshear this year, and it may be the best sausage ever! We're in Houston and Fulshear location makes for easy logistics.

I process my own but take meat to them to make sausage. They are pretty picky about what they will process. The stuff they threw out I would not have had a problem grinding. It was a little bloody but when you have a 1/2 lb in 30 lbs it would not be noticeable.

I recently used Kuby's for a hog I killed and was extremely dissapointed! 100# hog + Kuby's = 15 lb.s meat????? Said the ribs were shot? it was a head shot! Against my better judgement I tried them and will not be back. I have always used Tores & Sons and will always continue to do so. At Tores I have always gotten my meat and have gotten great quantities back from my hogs and deer! For the record, the jalepeno and cheese sausage was better at Tores & Sons too!

syracuse !!!!!!! had 2 deer done by Kuby's this year and not real impressed. same counter guy helped me both times and was kind of a smart [censored]!!! jap/cheese summer sausage had basically no jalapeno to it. syracuse was much better. the last one i dropped off was 71 lbs worth of quarters and backstrap/ boneless trimmings. they thru away 5 lbs of boneless meat and noted that it had been ANIMAL CHEWED!!!!! NOT !!!! the deer was shot, taken to camp and quartered and i'm the only one that touched it!! 34 lbs of jap/cheese,34 lbs of regular summer sausage,10 lbs of brats, and the backstrap filleted---$268.00 !!!!
