i shoot a howa 1500 in .270 and it is a great rifle imo. im upgrading the scope this spring with a conquest. after that i cant see my self really needing any other deer rifle.

I know lots of folks who build custom guns with 700 actions. Dont know of one yet who built one on a vanguard action. Not that it hasnt been done, but i have never heard of it.

Its weatherby's bargin gun. They are good guns though, have had a couple. But its not a 700. Just my .02

still waiting for someone to explain why a 700 is better.
is it the 5 piece bolt
is it ordinary bar stock reciever
in house barrel
trigger that accidently kills people

the howa isnt a 700 I grant you that, glad it isnt
