I need a new set of shooting sticks and really like both of these. I like the tripod version of the Bog-Pods, but like the quick adjustment of the Primos Trigger.
What would you recommend?

I've used both in the field this past season....go with the BOG-POD TRIPOD! More expensive ...but will give you a much more stable shooting platform!

I have used the Bog Pod for several years now and am completely happy with it. You can use it as a tripod, bipod or monopod. Works great!!

I've also wondered this. I've also heard at least a bipdod is a must. Not stable with a mono. Are they both just as quick to deploy? If a shot presents itself pretty quick which one will deploy quicker?

If I am walking around I use my Bog-Pod at the proper height as a monopod for shooting standing. That way I always have a good solid rest. If I am sitting in a stand I use it as a tripod or bipod. It is very easy and quick to adjust to any of the 3 methods.

When I was looking at tripods it looked like you had to adjust the bog pod's legs separately. Not sure if that's right, but I knew the trigger stick deployed all the legs to whatever length was required to reach the ground with a pull of the trigger. I wanted that feature when standing in plowed rows where the legs will be at different lengths. At night, I can't tell if all the legs are touching the ground until I put weight on the tripod and it starts to tip. Also, if I'm standing in mud and the tripod starts to sink from the weight of the gun, I can just pull the trigger and lift the rest back up for an eye level shot. Very handy.

Here's the problem with the Trigger stick, when you squeeze the trigger the legs slam down quick and pop loudly when they reach full extension, no good for stalking deer.

Yes they can be loud. I set the feet on the ground first and then raise then handle. If I pick up and have to move, I carefully close the legs or they will clank. I'm actually on my second set because the legs started sticking on the first one. I take better care of keeping the legs clean now.

BOG-POD, I've used both and the primos is good but after a little use it seemed the legs needed help extending all the way, either pulling or shaking. Also the primos was a little noisy when it worked right

On a spot and stalk with the tripod version, do you carry it pre-extended to save time and movement when you get to shooting range? If you have to shoot from a steep incline, isn't it a pain to re-adjust it while holding your gun?

The Primos trigger stick seems to heavy to me, the Bog Pod isn't light either but does feel lighter.
I use my monopods when I'm hiking the backcountry for mule deer, etc. I may travel 5-7 miles or more a day on foot. I WOULD NOT want to tote a Primos Trigger stick around all day.
If your just sitting then it doesn't matter. But the Bog Pod does seem more well built to me.
