While lookin at the AR thread in the photo section I noticed that majority of the guns have plastic mags in them.
Whats the advantage of the plastic over the aluminum or stainless?

I actually really like the old school 20 rounders with the metal followers. I slap Ranger plates on them and thats about all I use now days. If you use steel mags the first thing you need to do is add Magpul followers, thay make a huge difference !

I did that test at work and the gys thought I was crazy...They could not believe I will willing to ruin a 30 round steel mag to win the verbal disagreement.... Well I did

Leave it in your truck with the windows rolled up on a hot Texas summer day. That's more likely than me running one over with my truck. Then again, I'm not a big AR guy. Have one, shoot it, but not an expert.

Not misinformation. I know that plastic with warp in heat. I also know that all material expands and contracts with temperature change and polymers are more subject to it than metals.

And how often do you run it over with your truck? Like I said, no expert but I'm very skeptical.

Shoot me over one of them new fangled plastic ones and I'll try it and let you know.
I do know several of the newer PDWs have polymer mags and they are obviously superior in many ways including corrosion resistance. Just learning, stay calm.

Got rid of my steel mags except for the 2 that came with my gun and went with all PMags. Easier on the fingers to load and have never had any issues with them. I had a friend who bought a used AR and it kept hanging up after one shot. Stripped and cleaned the gun and still had the problem. Turned out to be a bad metal mag, gave him a Pmag and he was good to go.
