Kinda off topic..But I hunt in Childress and towards the middle of the season I seen multiple vehicles with 8pt'ers and little bigger in the back of trucks in town that might have not made the AR in most counties witch we dont have it out there..But what im getting at is why shot that small out in that country when you can go to san saba if your just a meat hunter and just let the buck go and have a chance to grow up when 160's + 200lb deer are not uncommon out there.

yep, only thing nice I could say about him at the time I shot him, however, knowing it was my grandpas last time to get to go out in the woods I made my mind up before we left the house that evening that the first thing legal by lease rules that stepped out was going to get a free truck ride out of the deal.

I'm with you Branden.....excellent point. if your going to shoot a milk sucker and then say that you just wanted the meat then shoot a DOE! if you can't eat the horns then why take a buck that you don't care about (although you say it made you really happy) just for the meat?
