I have a clovis I will try to post pic of later. Plowed fields with big creek or river on north side with medium to high bank so the sight did not flood them. If you find flint chips then points are there and would be good sight to run a sift table. And if any body has good sight I would gladdly show you what I know about finding good points

creek and plowed feilds are good places. i made a sifted box and just hit the creeks. as stated above, look for flint! i have found them on top of the ground. in the creeks, in the creek banks. cant find them if you dont look.
It's not how you fall, It's how you get up.

couple of waco sinkers, some nice and decent points, and a few scrapers. what i think could be a clovis. if not, its the closest ill probably ever find. sorry the pics are kind of crude. took with my phone. have acouple other bags, just grabbed a few out of the first bag. hope you enjoy! Unfortunately, its not a clovis. Looks more like a Gower point, but not certain. Those have shoulders (flare out near base) like yours, and clovis do not.

I have about ZERO luck finding anything like that but bayourat can find them as if they had a flag marking them. I have a couple pics in photobucket I will dig up & post. We also have found neat fossil shells on the lease by the lake.

Basically some examples look just alike to me.... The Archy I asked said a lot depended on the site it was found in. Gowers are much older and less common.

It is funny how some people can find them and others can't. My wife's cousin can walk along Crystal Beach and in a matter of minutes find a couple shark teeth and I can look in the same area and not find any. She literally has probably found 1000's and I can't find a one.

What pistol did that frame belong to? And what is that steel ball looking thing? Cool pictures. The Pistol frame I found along the San Gabriel River (Williamson County) I believe it to be Remington 1878 Model. I can read Remington on the barrel. The Cylinder was found on our farm in the back pasture. There was a old homestead back in the day. I have found some older indian head pennies and legend has it that two $20.00 gold pieces were found by the well. Its a cool spot, I always check it out after we plow it and we get a good rain so much stuff comes to the top. There is a old model T burried there with just the post to the roof in view anymore. The round ball (4 pounder cannon ball) was given to me by friend that was working the Pipe line, If I remember right close to Fort Gage near Oklohoma. They said thier gieger counter kept screaming in front of the trencher and the ball was catupulted out when the trencher hit it.
