I use to want to hunt for bears, but after watching a hunting show and hearing the so called "Death Moan"... I have no desire to hunt'em.. Do people eat bear?? Just curious!

Yea they eat them. I have buddy who worked in Alaska for a couple of hunting seasons and they loved eating bear he said. Reminded him of pork.

Mountain Lion, just too majestic of an animal to be chased up a tree by dogs and then helplessly shot. Now if I was being attacked by one? well then yeah I would probably have to kill it.....

The deer in the original post is a $100 fine on our lease. We let the nubbins walk because they will hopefully grow up not because they are too cute. I draw the line when the animal is too tame to be afraid of the hunter. It's not hunting then. It's live stock.

Pretty much anything I couldn't eat.

Been on camera safari in South Africa, saw all the Big 5, saw a lion shot with a sling shot(I couldn't see it so the driver got the male to stick his head up, he instantly put his head back down and fell back to sleep) and that is about as far as I'd take it.

Now, all the bok's, heck yeah, they were some great eating.

roflmao roflmao

I grew up with a father that never took me fishing or hunting. So I got my first gun (Marl. 30-30 with a scope) at a pawn shop at the age of 25. I took it out one day and was missing my taget by feet. So I figured the scope must be way off. So I took it to my friend to sight it in for me. So that weekend I went to pick it up. So he takes me over to his sighting table and shoots a really tight group at 50 yards. So I thanked him for fixing it, and he said, Bo, I didn't touch anything, you jsut can't aim worth a chip blush

I'm glad to say that I have gotten a whole lot better, and no there isn't anything I won't shoot as long as its legal.

I have no desire to hunt bears or any of the African game.

In addition, I have no desire to go on a hog hunt with dogs - probably stems from being attached by a pitbull mix about 10 years ago and knowing what it feels like.

I wouldn't shoot a unicorn. I might tranq it and cut the horn off so nobody else would shoot it, but I wouldnt kill the unicorn.

Been hunting in Australia on and off for 40 years. Used to "tap" the odd 'roo...but not anymore. 'Roos are dumb...they will just stand up and look at you...plenty of time to take the shot. Get too close and they are off...faster than a bride's nightdress...but they usually only go for maybe 100m, then the silly buggers stop and look at you again.

Only time I will shoot a 'roo these days is if there is something wrong with it...then I I feel that I'm putting it out of its misery.

No way will I shoot a fawn, or a doe with a fawn at foot.

Cheers, Vince

theoretical question.......

wht if you were hunting the deep pine forest that is east texas.

your setting in your tripod, watching the sunset. A sasquatch walking in the the middle of the logging road, burps and starts scratching his rear.

on the one hand, you can relate to the sasquatches behavoir and mannerisms.

on the other, you can put to end a hundred years of scientific debate.

your loaded up with a .35 whelen with 200 grain partitions (plenty of gun for a sasqautch, lets not get into a ".223 for sasquatch" debabte)

what do you do????

If I want to see a sasquatch I just go to my brother's house.

He's 6'6", hairy, grumpy and wears a size 15 shoe. His toes are over 6" long. He can pick stuff up with 'em. Seriously. I couldn't shoot my brother.
