I don't, but she doesn't. Besides I would go anyway! She would rather have me come home from the brush with meat for the freezer than from a night at Twin Peaks cool

LOL. I spend over 200 days a year in the field, and half of those are over night stays. I'm gone hunting weeks at a time. So......the next time your wife complains, just show her this post:)

Honestly, the best way to stop wives from complaining about anything is giving them money and tell the to go shopping.

If you'll demand some "lovin" 5 nights a week and do it right she'll appriciate a couple of days off.

Option #2 don't give her any "lovin" and go hunting anyway...
she'll find a boyfriend and then she'll be anxious for you to leave.

Have her plan a nice trip for after the season for the two of you!!! I think we are going to a nice B & B after deer season is over!!! Don't talk about hunting to her if she doesn't hunt!!!

I have a part time GF who's given me all kinds of hell this season when I told her back in AUGUST that she was going to be a HUNTING WIDOW...

If you want those awesome deer burgers at the lake next summer, GET OVER IT HONEY...

My wife does understand a few things about me hunting/fishing:
1. I'm not out chasing women
2. she gets to eat what I catch/kill
3. she gets to plan a trip for us after the season

Been good man, but been better too lol...

I spent 7 months of 2010 out of work, but been working since September and it looks like all of 2011 i should be OK... Had a decent hunting season, I shot a spike, a dillo and last week a huge preggo sow... It will be a great ski/boating season for sure.

I'll have to get my pics posted, I haven't loaded up online besides FB.

You shoulda seen me trying to get that hog into the back of the truck - think big bear hug and me falling into the bed with it on top of me... I'm guessing it was close to 200# (80# after I butchered it)...

Best part was it was the 1st hog I've killed that I heard squeal as it died after I shot it... I popped one more round off at a small one as they all bolted, but I missed.

Txp

Should have taken a video of you trying to get hog loaded up!!! LOL At least you got it before it gave birth!!! Meat for the freezer!!!

I glad you're back to work and I know things will be looking up for 2011.

I killed a "unicorn" buck that I thought was deformed until I saw that 1 side was broke off. I'll be home for the last weekend of ML season and hope to get a doe for the freezer!!! I was going to shoot one earlier but I didn't see any until the Monday after Thanksgiving and they were illegal!!!

Oh haiiil no! No way I would want that on video! That would have been embarrassing! LOL! I can imagine how much fun people would make of the PREVIOUSLY FAILED attempts to load her up! Haha When I think about it, its actually funny to me that I had to do that to get her in the truck. Now Im really crackin up...

Thats true!!! I remember some of the posts from last year, that I won't mention, that people really gave you a hard time about!!! I have a bad shoulder and it was tough for me to get the spike in the truck so I can just imagine what fun you had with a big old preggo sow!!! rofl
