I'm considering looking into an idea I've had about producing hunting attire mostly for Upland bird hunting/casual ranch wear (shooting shirts, etc.). If yal have a minute, Im interested in knowing what your favorite article of clothing/shoes are and why you like them, or why they are almost your favorite but lack ____. I would appreciate it if you would be as descriptive as possible ie. not just "it's comfortable" but rather what makes it so comfortable. Thanks for the help guys!

I typically use my old uniforms (Marine DIGIs / Army ACU's / BDUs).

Why - they have pockets everywhere and they are pretty comfortable.

Cactus proof. Or at least cactus resistant.

I personally like Colombia style shits. The breathablity is key to me. Like others have said no Velcro. I really like my jeans but prefer lighter weight pants in the beginning of the season as it is hot I am thinking dove hunting here. For me, I end up wearing most of the time is a old pair of khaki pants cotton and a breathable shirt with a vest over that.

If I was going to buy I would look at price, Constitution, and durability.

I am not a hug cammo wearer This is just me... smile

X2 on the lefty shirts. The ability for it to layer well is important as well. Not really sure how to describe it but some stuff just layers up better than others.

Upland gear must be durable! I hunt with the same 2 or 3 shirts I've had for years. I like buttons and extra strength on the elbows and shoulders. I like Carhart's and Wrangler in the winter. Columbia is the nuts for the warm season.

This is awesome guys..your input is extremely helpful!

Everybody is familiar with the generic shooting shirt that practically every company makes...what do you think about the padding material? Do you think it would be nicer if it was thicker or a different material?

Two of my co-workers here design tons of casual and hunting apparel. Pretty neat to watch them work on it from start to finish(about a year).....even neater to see people on this forum wearing some of it in their pics!

Sorry if I missed it, but one of my pet peeves is the current trend of companies making the shirts with tails that are too short and won't stay tucked in. Nice long tails. It helps when layering too.

Durability over price.

I just look for something that fits. When your built like a water tower, ya don't get too picky.

Price, lefty friendly, good for layering, warm, and waterproof...all noted!

Another question for thought...what do you like about one of your favorite shirts/pants/pair of shoes, that is not for hunting that you wish your hunting attire had? This could mean fit, color, fabric etc.

I always use an uninsulated, hooded carhart jacket, would love to see something like this with an orange hood, shoulder splashes, and a game pouch on the back. also, don't forget to make tall sizes.
