An hour. I would say I would be surprised, but I have shot a turkey dead, 2nd close range shot to the head with a 10 GA. Walked away for 5 minutes, come back and find that something carried it off. And another time a small size hog shot dead, returned maybe two hours later and find it carried off. I almost wonder if the yotes learn to come looking after they hear a shot. Especially since us hunters often leave a gut pile behind.

Doesn't look to be carried over the limb to me. Looks like it was drug against the side of the limb, look at the video, no blood on top of the limb, only on the side.

I'm going with the theory the aliens in Roswell did drag the deer off. Thats seems to be the only theory some here will except. I guess coyotes are to boring.

Some will, I shot a doe (300wm w/ BOSS to get an idea of what all should have cleared the area) got straight out the stand and walked right down to her (about 80 yds).... start field dressing her and look 150yds down the road and there was a yote sitting on the edge of the logging road watching me. They were thick as skeeters down there though and hogs weren't much better.... field dressing a deer out in a clearcut after it took me a while to find him and chunking organs out of the small space I had to work with and could hear hogs smacking on some things I was chunking not long after they would hit the ground. (of course I managed to get the 4wheeler out there using a small drain that had no brush in it...and was using the headlights for light, and once I got turned around and back out where I could see a little I left with a decent 8pt and a 100lb sow out of a group of 50+.

IMO looks to me like the deer stumbled to where it fell and something found it and got a snack..I wasnt there but just looking at the video thats what I would say.. The blood was splattered in drops if it was dragged there would be a steady or pretty steady stream and lots od drag marks. It wasnt hogs. I helped track a doe 4 years ago that was shot good and went 50 yds into a creek and died. Was down less than a hour and the hogs had eaten everyting but the hind quarters, legs and head. the fron legs were laid out 90 degrees to each side of the chest and the intestines were cleaned out. Ribs, skin everything was eated down tot he back bone. It was plum spooky how fast it happened..

You might want to protect your Photobucket albums unless you want anyone to have access to your photos and do with them what they will......

You can upload your videos to youtube too.

I killed a large doe last year. I hunted my way back to camp to get a four-wheeler to retrieve her. As I returned, I found her turned 1/4 from position I left her in. Also, her head was covered and her front shoulder was destroyed as the hindquarter is in your video. Game camera showed me leaving and an enormous bobcat working the doe over. You are right on the 'cat.

There must be some starving predators in Texas. I'm glad I don't have to worry about leaving my deer to get the truck.

With 2 occurances in 2 days, I would not be waiting til Feb to work on the predator population.

We've had the same problem on our lease with yotes. I have started taking the wife and kids in spring and spending a couple weekends on yote destruction. It's been a blast!

She coulda been laying there dying when the yotes came up. She has enough left to get up and stumble a few feet(hence the blood on the branch) or they took her down at that point. Really couldn't see any visible "drag" marks.

The way it was dragged to near the same spot as the turkey looks more like a cat. Bobcat maybe. But you know there are lions in Texas you just don't see them.

One more thing, coyotes don't cover carcasses up so they can return later. That was definitely a cat of some sort.

I didn't see any carcasses that had been covered up in that video....

More of a justification for a clean rifle shot, rather than a drawn out death. The objective should be to minimize suffering of the prey, not to prolong it for the hunter ego.

Hey SpleenEater have you seen the internal devistation that is intended to occur from a hit with an arrow topped with a hunting Broadhead? Were talking an inch or larger hole for a completely ethical kill. A clean rifle shot and a clean Bow and Arrow shot are comparable and I assure you a well placed arrow is as good as any well placed bullet. You are obviously retarded.
