In current production I would pick the following in order of preference:
1. Ithaca 37
2. BPS
distant 3rd. 870

If you are willing to shop used:
1. Model 12
tie for 2nd. Older Ithaca 37 ultralight or Older 870 Wingmaster
Older equates to pre 70s.




Thought for the day: Ducks were almost hunted to extinction long before camo was invented.

I didn't mention the Model 12 only because of they're rarity. They would have been #1.



Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.
