Anything above a 243. Shoulder shot or armpit. I have killed many deer with alot of calibers and never had one run on me. All were DRT. I mostly use Hornady SST, AMax or HPBT. It only costs about $5 more a box than core lokt ammo and is IMO far superior ammunition.
